Unknown Ark and its Development

One of my first University Assignments I was to make a game using Unity. I decided I wanted to make a sort of Futuristic Achient Themed Game, simular to games like Homeworld, ehere the character discovers a temple that turns out to be a space ship.

Using a Pixel Art creation software called Aseprite, I created all the assets on a spritesheet as well as the Character’s animation. Assets include, the enemy as well as the buttons and Logo.

I made a Female Character as the Protaganist for the game. To do this I chose a skin tone for the character, before adding detail and then animating it. As this was my first animation, there is some jankiness to it, but it works.

This is the little defence drone I mocked up for the game as you will see on my Behance Page. I was inspired by Bill Cypher from Gravity Falls.

One of the elements I missed out when making the Spritesheet was the depth of the sprite and I plan to remake them in the future to add depth as well as more detail. However I was pushed for time when making them originally.

Buttons for the Games Menu

To make the buttons I used the Text Box Tool in Aseprite and a found an Egyption Style Font that I then typed out to maker the letter.

The Sky Box for the game was a very simple creation using Photoshop.
